An aerial view of part of our parish. St Margaret's is in the centre near the top of the picture, its churchyard marked by its trees. The Inner Ring Road swings east to west and then south through the middle of the picture. All Saints, a redundant but important medieval church, is in our parish and can be seen in the centre left of the picture, with the site of St Michaels, now being excavated, just to its right. Our sister church, St Nicholas, and the 'Jewry Wall', part of the Roman Baths, is at the bottom of the picture. The Cathedral, St Martin's, is just in the picture, on the right.
Our thanks to the University of Leicester Archaeological Services team for this photograph and especially to Nick Cooper.
